Unfortunately referral letter and scan results weren't given to the Consultant. Therefore I was not given any feedback on scan results which was the reason for the referral. Instead I was insulted and was told that my Sonographer was talking 'rubbish'. Very unprofessional and I won't be paying for this Consultation. I've made a complaint. Such a shame because I have always trusted and have been treated with respect and care prior to this.

Stayed overnight at this hospital on Tuesday, through to Wednesday teatime and was cared for by the best staff ever.First of all the carpark is free so I left my car overnight so hubby could drive me back next day.admin staff are happy to help and always smiling.Dr chalmers was wonderful and was anesthetised by a lovely chap called errington ,friendly, chatty,it didn't hurt at all.when I came round in the room I was at my most vulnerable, had to be helped to the toilet yet both Tamara and Emma took pains to make sure I kept my dignity ! They showed empathy and compassion and so much kindness.Tamara couldn't do enough for me ,coming straight away when I pressed the bell and getting me an extra coffee or tea when I asked. The food was great served by the in-house chefs and plenty of tea and coffee served between meals.Had a lovely room all to myself and immaculate bathroom. Very clean and modern hospital with very caring staff who go the extra mile if you need it.Highly recommend this hospital.x

I have attended this hospital both as a private patient and as an NHS patient a number of times over the years and have not had any real problems. Over the past year however, it has become clear to me that this hospital is just an extension of the NHS now. I would almost go so far as to say that self- funding patients represent a bit of a nuisance. My advice to potential self- funding patients would be to try to find a proper private hospital. The consultants here don't seem to know who is funding the patient sitting in front of them. As a result they are as rude as they probably are in their NHS clinics at their respective NHS hospitals.

Hopeless service. Trying to get an MRI scan and was told to email my referral letter which I did. No response for 12 days so I had to call to chase up. First time I got directed to a voicemail so I left a message. After 3 days no response so I called again. I was on hold for 30 minutes and was then told they couldn't proceed because the referral letter did not have my address on it. Perhaps someone could have sent 30 seconds replying to my email to tell me that? Have gone elsewhere.

Attended this hospital a number of times and will try to avoid in future. The car park is too small. If you are trying to make an appointment time, make sure you leave plenty of time to try and secure a parking space. The consultants here seem never to run to time. How the consultant can be running 25/40 minutes late when you are the first appointment of the clinic I will never know. This happened on 4 different occasions with 2 different consultants. Patients who arrived at reception after us were told the consultant was running late, but we were not. It was not unusual to see 4 people waiting in the waiting room to all see the same consultant. Had ultrasound and MRI. one was booked after the other and of course the first one was over 20 minutes late in starting which had a knock on impact on the next appointment. Time management is not high on the list of priorities it seems. They are not allowing enough time for patients to be seen by a consultant. If you are working and taking time out of your day to attend an appointment, chances are you have to get back to work asap. The whole point of going private is that things are supposed to work more efficiently as they are not overrun with patients and you are actually paying for a service.
