The spire is a private hospital, that has a more 'cottage town hospital' feel about it, rather than a medical centre feel about it (you'll get what I mean, if you visit!) There is free ample parking that's right by the side hospital, thats 1 minute walk or shuffle. My day visit was for, a small surgical procedure, caried out under a general anisthetic but when I arrived for the work to be carried out, I was over run with massive anxiety, that was triggered by a recent and previous traumatic hospital experience. Spires staff were absolutely brilliant! Right from the start of my visit I was reassured, comforted and treated with respect by all, from reception, catering, nurses and surgical staff. I had special visits from the surgical team including the surgeon who reassured me I would be very well looked after, even up to the point where I was put under. In recovery, the team were brilliant, frequently checking up on me, and making sure my wound was ok, and that I was refreshed with water, tea and a very nice pannini. Discharging me was very thorough with full explanation of how to care for my wound, and the required pain killers and also booking in my follow up appointment, with the surgeon. I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at the Spire for their exceptional care and professionalism. They are a credit to the hospital and deserve recognition for their outstanding work.

Dreadful service. I was sent an appointment which I tried to change one month in advance as I am due to be out of the country on the date of the appointment. They flatly refused saying I had previously missed one appointment that had been emailed to me, which I can prove was never received in my email account! They also cited, that changing a future appointment counts as missing an appointment… utter madness!

Extremely expensive for a cursory examination. They seem to milk customers uninsured by big UK medical insurance companies. I'll try to avoid next time.

Having read some of the previous reviews I had opted to go to another hospital, however, the consultant was able to get me treated quicker here. They have been brillliant. Their care second to none, my family had no issues getting hold of them on operation day to find out how I was and pre op when I had to call them if know one answered someone always got back to me. Everyone was extremely helpful and caring. Totally recommend this hospital. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because of a few design issues in the rooms. i.e. toliet paper behind you which when you have an operation you don't want to twist to get it! thank you South Bank.

I want to thank Mr.Lake and some of the nurses around this afternoon as I had my first gastroscophy and I was very nervous about it as I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. They were just amazing!

On my second referral requested through my GP practice I seen Dr. Pandie who turned me away and told me that I was wrong I felt unheard and found him also unhelpful because of the nature of my situation. I left feeling upset and frustrated due to the facts about my concern went ignored by someone professional. On the other hand I had been seen by Dr. Patel who were I felt like I was understood, clear as he took me views and thoughts into consideration, and that is important to me as this was a seriously health issue causing me alot of problems and being proply examined to find that it was the consultant before, who never did take any notice of my efforts I made, whilst going to visit and making me feel dead uncomfortable. made me feel patronised and silly to even consider myself to have a concern in the first place, when I needed help and Dr Pandey could greatly and honestly see it... I am sad for him 🙂

Following a telephone consultation during the C19 I was told I needed to be seen by the consultant. I was then left for over a year with no correspondence or contact. I chased them and their attitude was appauling that they had forgotten about me! I finally had a consultation and the Consultant was meant to write to my Dr, that was 7 months ago and neither I or my Dr have heard anything from them. Unbelievable for a private hospital that used to be really good
