FAQ

What are the qualifications of the periodontist who will be performing my dental implant procedure?

At Spedding Dental Clinic, all of our periodontists are highly qualified and experienced in performing dental implant procedures. They have undergone extensive training and education in periodontology and implant dentistry, and are registered with the General Dental Council. We ensure that our periodontists stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies through continuing education and training programs.

What type of dental implants do you offer and what are the differences between them?

We offer a variety of dental implant options at Spedding Dental Clinic, including traditional implants, mini implants, and All-on-4 implants. Traditional implants are the most commonly used and involve placing a titanium post into the jawbone to support a single dental crown. Mini implants are smaller in diameter and are often used to support dentures or bridges. All-on-4 implants use four strategically placed implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth. We will work with you to determine which option is best for your unique dental needs.

How long does the dental implant process typically take from start to finish?

The dental implant process typically takes several months from start to finish. This includes the initial consultation and treatment planning, the implant placement surgery, and the placement of the final restoration (crown, bridge, or denture). The exact timeline will depend on your individual case and the type of implant procedure being performed. We will provide you with a detailed treatment plan and timeline during your initial consultation.

What is the cost of dental implants and do you offer financing options?

The cost of dental implants can vary depending on several factors, including the number of implants needed, the type of implant, and the need for any additional procedures (such as bone grafting). We offer competitive pricing for our dental implant procedures and accept a variety of payment options. We also offer financing options to help make dental implant treatment more affordable for our patients.

What is your success rate with dental implants and what steps do you take to ensure their longevity?

At Spedding Dental Clinic, we have a high success rate with dental implant procedures. Our periodontists use the latest techniques and technologies to ensure the best possible outcome for our patients. We also take steps to ensure the longevity of the implants, including proper placement and careful monitoring during the healing process.

Expensive, as all private dentists are, but they're friendly, and they do a great job. I needed an implant, and Jack is the go-to expert in Carlisle. Six years on, I've had no trouble with it.

My two children go to this dentist, who are eight and five and the staff are just awful! Very unhelpful and the staff on reception,an older lady was very rude with us and they just do not make you feel at ease at all,it’s very stressful bringing kids to the dentist and even the dentist themselves just do nothing to put the kids at ease at all naturally they are scared and unsure! I just think it’s awful to treat people that way they just don’t seem to know how to care for children! My friend has two children that go there too and she says the same thing and ended up in tears last time she went,as the staff were just so rude and you end up feeling even more stressed by the time you leave! We are both looking for somewhere else really as it’s just not good enough! Very disappointed with this dentist and I have spoken to a few different friends that go there and they all say the same thing so we all can’t be wrong!

‘I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Michael King for giving me excellent emergency advice last week over the telephone. He reassured me given the limited options available due to the Covid 19 pandemic. I have now had my tooth taken out at the hospital and am pain free. Thank you again’
