As my training has progressed the experience and knowledge Sifu has is absolutely astounding. You truly feel like you are guided by one of the greatest masters of our time. I have studied with Sifu Lee for just under a year, and my experience of both private sessions and group classes has been brilliant so far. Lee is passionate, knowledgeable and experienced in a vast range of styles and their respective histories and fighting/self-defence applications. His students are equally passionate as well as being inquisitive, dedicated and welcoming. I'd happily recommend private or group kung fu sessions at Spectrum to anyone with even a passing interest in martial arts. Further detail for those interested: > Mentally, studying kung fu with Spectrum has been great, enabling me to focus on a new challenge that has a deep and rich history. I didn't expect it to be as interesting to me as my primary craft, but it's quickly becoming so. It's also been a welcome distraction from the daily grind - work etc. and has helped keep me grounded these past few months. > Physically, the pursuit of my goals in the study of martial arts has greatly developed my stamina, strength, flexibility, co-ordination and mobility - it's rewarding and encouraging to know that I have a greater level of base fitness than before I began. > Studying with Lee at Spectrum has also been a great confidence booster - even just having the basics of self-defence down and knowing the applications of some of the forms has been both enlightening and rewarding. Everyone badgers on about self-defence being great for confidence, mental health and fitness but I've found the study of kung fu at Spectrum to be something bigger and (so far) it's changed my life for the better.

I imagine teaching the complexities of classical kung fu is not an easy task but Lee manages to provide clarity and context into his teachings as well as remaining very down to earth and relatable person which makes learning from him a very enjoyable process. "As a teacher Lee has always got time for his students, he manages to do this all while keeping on top of his own personal kung fu training and working on other Spectrum projects without ever sacrificing his students experience.
