Manager of this branch is very kind and respectful. However, majority staff members don't understand what empathy and compassion means when it comes to treating their customers. I was very disappointed and let down on several occasions, but today it was the last straw where optometrist did not complete his job, was unhelpful and disrespectful by rushing my appointment. I was told to go somewhere else as I no longer trust them. Customer and their needs come first, I have a right not to accept your professional opinion, which varies among different professionals. That is something that I experienced all my life and there is nothing wrong to be asking of what you really want. Today first time in my life, I cried in Specsavers as I wasn't treated with respect and dignity. My request to have contact lenses of lower prescription was refused which is not the right way to go forward if I am wearing glasses of that prescription and it is my choice to have lower prescription contact lenses. Now they are telling me that prescription is outside of their normal range. I will try to resolve this during my next appointment and if they will continue to be ignorant I will simply leave Specsavers company. I guess they do not care about their regular customers. Thankfully manager took action and I was approached with different health care professional who was treating me in a better way, but still they can't understand the need of giving me contact lenses of a lower prescription. My eye health is a sensitive topic to me and staff members should be more thoughtful of what they say to their customers.
