3rd attempt today to collect a replacement frame, as the frame of my new glasses was damaged when I originally collected, so actually my 4th trip in for this frame. Again, they couldn't be located so waited a short time and said I would pop back as needed to get other things done in Whiteley. On my return the store was pretty busy so was asked to wait - I asked if the frame had been located and it had. Waited a short time, looking at frames with a friend and no sign of being served so left, seems there will be a 5th trip to the store :(. 4/5 - not had a response yet following completion of your questions via the link I returned 6 days ago. 9th May - went in to collect my new frame, but it was damaged so they will be ordering yet another frame, asked why it hadn't been checked for damage, bearing in mind the original frame was damaged, they weren't sure. I also suggested it wasn't a new frame but the display frame and it was agreed this was likely. Very poor service and losing the will, also never had a response to my original review above.

Feel a bit let down by Whiteley, had eye test brilliant, ordered glasses brilliant, had an appointment booked to collect, arrived to be told rudely we had to sit and wait for at least half an hour, we said we had an appointment, he said that didn’t matter, very rude man. I called the next day to try and rearrange to be told this man was actually the manager!!!! We have always used this branch and always enjoyed buying glasses, I have collected them, but will never use Specsavers again. Very disappointed.

Shocking experience! I hope things have changed now. I went 2 years ago and was given glasses that I couldn't actually see out of. My test felt very rushed and I've worn glasses for 10 years, so I've been to several eye tests. I was told to drive home in these new glasses to test them out, but I couldn't see so I drove home in my old ones. I tried wearing them at home, but could only tolerate them for 30mins at a time as they gave me such a bad headache. I went back to the store saying they'd given me the wrong prescription. I had to go back on 5 occasions to the store to get my prescription sorted. In the end, they did a free restest where they stated "we're not sure what prescription to give you but try this one." So I wore that prescription for the past 2 years no problem as I didn'tget headaches from these so thought they had got it correct that time. Then yesterday, I went for a test at Vision Express where I was told that I'd been overprescribed by Specsavers in the right eye, meaning I had been wearing glasses too strong for me. This means I now have to throw out all my contact lenses, as they were from the Specsavers prescription. Very disappointed as previously I'd been to other Specsavers stores and never had this issue. I will now be sticking with Vision Express as I don't want to risk my eyesight being tampered with by incorrectly prescribed lenses.
