    Southwark Council rubbish disposal will not accept coat hangers but these can be taken to dry cleaners and Specialist Eco Cleaners kindly took three bulging carrier bags of coat hangars left by my outgoing tenant. A huge thank you to them. No doubt I will be visiting again at the end of the next tenancy!

    I'm confused by the bad reviews because I have had nothing short of an excellent experience with Vanesh and his team. SEC has been my go-to dry cleaner now for just over a year since moving to the area. They are the only dry cleaner offering an eco-friendly cleaning and they work hard for you - I had a light-coloured linen suit that had wine stains on it. Another dry cleaner could not get the stains out, but Vanesh put his magic to work and the suit looks great!

    AVOID at all costs or be prepared to have your clothing ruined whilst still expected to pay. I went to pick up my dry cleaning to find an oil stain on my shirt that wasn’t there when I dropped it off. When questioned the owner got defensive and aggressive to the point where I just paid for my items and left. I wasn’t sure weather to use this dry cleaners or not in the first place due to the mixed (mostly bad) reviews but I though that perhaps it’s ok now as they say they are under new management. DO NOT BE FOOLED this place is awful and they will ruin your clothes and expect you to pay full price. They should be reported to trading standards!! It’s such a shame as the shoe man is absolutely amazing and it seems he is getting lumped in with the bad reputation of the dry cleaners. AVOID, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!     Charges you for ruining your clothes! And then shout at you when you ask for explanations. I paid for 5 pieces to be cleaned 4 out of 5 came back first of all uncleaned and with oil and stains all over them! Then claims the stain was there when we brought it which it wasn’t but asked why is it not cleaned then? He responded « because I didn’t see it » well what did you clean then? And obviously you are charged for it!

    Always an above satisfactory experience here, they are extremely helpful - owner Jay is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled people I've met in the business. I love their customer service. Mark, the guy that does shoes, keys, etc. is one of the best in the trade (used to do the Queen's Royal Guard's boots) and can find a solution to everything. Highly recommend this place... I swapped from my old dry cleaner and tailor and haven't regretted it since.
