  I had to visit SDC due to ongoing dental issues which were not being resolved elsewhere This is a highly professional practice and Mr Chan outlined a comprehensive package of measures in order to tackle my dental issues with an outcome to promote full restorative treatment. The treatment was complex but the attention to detail throughout the whole process was exemplary. Mr Chan and his dedicated assistants always presented a sense of calm and I always felt extremely confident that I had placed myself in "good hands" in life ,you generally get what you pay for and this is no exception. The team care about the quality of what they are delivering and I would wholeheartedly recommend the practice for dental treatment and dental healthcare

  I have been a patient of Specialist Dental Care for many years, and it all the time I have received first class treatment. it starts at reception with the receptionist knowing who you are and who you are to see. The dental nurses also know who you are and what treat meant you are expecting, and the dentist always explains what he is going to do prior to treatment and continues that explanation throughout, so yo unknown exactly what is being done and what to expect, similarly, with the hygienist. i just wish that I had found the practice sooner. I would certainly recommend the practice and will continue to use them. All of the staff are first class.

  I had implants and associated treatment at Specialist Dental Care when my usual practice were unable to carry out the work. Mr Chan and his team carried out a thorough assessment of what was needed, my treatment was completed on schedule and the follow up care has been outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending Specialist Dental Care for patients with complex dental needs.

  Excellent dental surgery. Caroline the practice manager is incredibly helpful and arranged an appointment for me with Dr Chesterman despite a full diary. I have had two appointments with Ikrah who is brilliant and has a lovely reassuring manner with patients. I have further treatment planned with Mr Chesterman who has fully explained options and pros and cons of different treatments and am confident that I am in expert hands. Heather has been very helpful in rearranging appointments where needed and keeping me updated. Thanks all at Specialist Dental Care highly recommended all round.

  Genuinely the best dentist I’ve ever encountered! Its only taken 57 years to finally have a lovely confident smile. I get compliments now and I’m so grateful Mr Chan took me on when my confidence and trust in dentistry was at an all time low, due to a prior botched restorative treatment. From the first consultation I knew Mr Chan was in a caliber of his own. He was not only methodical but an incredibly meticulous professional and explained in the detail all he could regarding my teeth. A detailed report followed by email and in the post with a full dental plan and a cost breakdown with options where possible. When treatment started I was understandably anxious, over the years I’ve spent a lot of time in the dentist chair, in the main caused by my bruxism issues. I’m not sure everyone observes how big their dentist hands are but trust me I have! Thankfully Mr Chan has small nimble hands, he’s so consciously aware of any possible discomfort that he even numbs your gums with a solution before giving an injection. The kind dental assistances are very attentive, technical and engaging caring professionals. Its worth highlighting the gentle massage feature in his dental chair gives much appreciated relief during any long procedures. From the worst of experiences I’ve now had the best of experiences and have great teeth to prove it. Thanks to Mr Martin Chan and all the dental team at SBC, Ilkley.

  Mr. Chan,The head of Specialist Dental Care in Ilkley, had performed my full mouth reconstruction back in 2005 and has regularly checked my implants during the last 17 years! A dream come true for me as I found my previous dentures so difficult to get on with. I was so pleased with Mr.Chan's expertise, professionalism, care and attention even to minor details, that I decided to refer my wife for dental implant and treatment too.   I have been a patient of Mr Chan since 2007 and I followed him when he moved his clinic to Ilkley. I have a TMJ disorder and because of this I cannot keep my mouth wide open for long periods of time without suffering pain and discomfort. Mr Chan has always been very patient and considerate of my need to rest frequently during dental treatment and has never made me feel rushed or an inconvenience. Over the years I have appreciated that he has taken into account my anxiety and concerns regarding longer procedures. I feel that patient care is of the highest level at this dental clinic. Mr Chan’s immense experience and knowledge combined with the kindness and professionalism of the whole team make this clinic a place I can highly recommend.
