Very strange and exciting to visit the place where the invasion of D-Day was planned and executed. Walking in the very rooms where the plan was conceived and finalized was amazing. The map room is a must as well. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in World War II or any history buff in general. This is an active military base so be aware of the fact.

We had an opportunity to see the famous map room where General Eisenhower and others planned for D Day. We were fortunate to have a very interesting talk on the preparations and events of D Day. Worth seeing this pivotal location of the Second World War. Arranged visit by ex-navy friend. Needs some planning as security a little tight.
