Avoid like the plague! This is no reflection of the ladies behind the desk, purely after the treatment from the owner. I had a prepaid label whilst on paternity leave and just needed the parcel placed into a royal mail collection bag so that it got into the Royal Mail system, there was no need to scan it as the collection location differed. The owner Vic clearly didn't want to just help even though all I was asking was to place the parcel in the bag; he remarked that it wasn't possible, however other people had helped before in varies other post offices twice before. I understand it could be a security risk but if he took the time to understand. We ship hundreds of parcels a day and I was in the shop with my son who has down syndrome...I pose no security risk and neither did the parcel which was a foam mat. I was merely asking for some kindness and assistance. Not a nice human being as it wasn't even a tough ask to place a parcel in a collection bag, I shall never visit again.

Would recommend if you're posting overseas to try Albert Rd or Elm Grove. Despite explaining all requirements were met to post to New Zealand (had been in correspondence with MPI - ministry of primary industries) the staff here disputed whether it was allowed to post my goods to New Zealand. It was, as I had checked with NZ MPI by email. I took my business elsewhere to the Elm Grove post office, inside the Co-op, where the service was excellent. At Southsea I noted one staff member was busy when I arrived complaining to the local council that their doorstep hadn't been swept before they arrived. Also made out they couldn't hear me as I was wearing a mask and imitated I should remove it. I declined as in the previous 5 minutes they seemed to have no problem hearing me.
