We have purchased 3 outbuilding s from Southern sheds since February 2021 to the value of 8k. The outbuildings themselves are of reasonable quality, I have always paid for the premium options with extra flooring joists. Where Southern sheds fail is on their inability to communicate to their clients & their installations teams. On the first delivery I was not advised of the height clearance required to get in to my back garden prior to assembly. The had to make the paels smaller, they blamed me initially & asked me to pay for the changes, they then admitted it was their fault. This resulted in 2 failed delivery attempts. The installer did not have the guttering with them, they had to come back, upon return they advised me they couldn’t install the down pipe as it was too close to fence & they left. I stalled the downpipe by using an angle adaptor for my drill. The second purchases went reasonably smoothly but we did experience a problem with one of the doors being out of line but this was rectified within a couple of months. The third purchase. I sent Southern sheds pictures of exactly where the outbuilding had to be built showing ground condition etc. At no point did they advise me the area was not suitable. On the day of delivery, the installers advised me the gravel area had to be scrapped back before the outbuilding could be installed. The installers advised it they couldn’t help remove the gravel & went & sat in their van. I called John at Southern Sheds who blamed me. Quite how after I sent pictures is beyond me. I asked John if the installers could help & he told me no as I should have prepared the area. We had a long conversation about responsibilities which got us nowhere, John advised me they would have to reschedule the installation. I disagreed & told John & his team they would have to wait untl I prepared the area which they did. I did ask to speak t Darren (Director) but he refused to speak to me. Would I purchase from southern sheds again “NO”. The installers advised me they do have a lot of problems caused by John not being clear to them & their clients. All Southern sheds need to do is carry out site survey prior to installation. Everyone would have a clear understanding of what needs to happen next, John Griggs needs to listen to his clients & implement better systems for his clients & installers.

The member of staff we ran into was helpful and we went from just browsing to putting a deposit down. Showed us many options of sheds and bases to suite us. Bit of a wait for delivery but reasonably priced and offered assembly on delivery (no get it delivered then wait for another person to show up hours later)
