It is unfortunate to have to leave a review to tell other people what a poor service we received. SMS Ltd serviced the engine on a yacht we were purchasing. When the all important time came to run the engine & leave the dock we found the engine wasn't pulling water through. We checked what we could, the impeller had been replaced in the service. The previous owner contacted SMS Ltd who said they would call us the next morning - they didn't. After a huge amount of stress we started to call other engineers (on a Saturday!). A contact of ours managed to arrange an engineer to come, then SMS called but couldn't come due to grouting their bathroom. Our new engineer finally diagnosed that the pump had been put on upside down. SMS agreed they had made a "school boy error" & would reimburse our costs for the call out engineer. They didn't, despite many promises made. An experienced engineer should not have made this mistake & a professional company should make good & do as they promise. We all know that we rely on our engines to work when needed. A very poor experience.
