My friend and I went to the shop with ten bin liners full of books. When we got there the person manning the shop left us just standing there and when she finally acknowledged us greeted us by sneezing all over us. When we said we wanted to donate the books she had to asked to asked someone 'upstairs'. An older woman glued to a mobile descended and when we asked how best to bring the books into the shop and if there was any help, told us she could not accept so many books. Both my friend and his family and myself and my husband actively support the PDSA with monetary donations but when my friend and I left the shop, we both felt that they were to lazy too help us with the books. We donated them to the Cancer charity next door who were delighted to accept the books.
