Small friendly Yacht Club catering for all aspects of aquatic endeavour! Once you have proved proficiency (sessions to learn skills are regularly run between April-October) you are able to enjoy Rowing, Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP), Kayaking or Sailing at the club. They even offer hire of the clubs equipment to members. They have a small but well kept fleet of SUP's. Kayaks (Junior Adult and Double) as well as a handful of sailing dinghys. It has a well equipped club house with a BYOB bar setup for nice evening on the balcony. There are mens and womens changing facilities on site along with good showers. A small but well equipped club workshop for completing repairs to your own vessel if required. For me personally and for our family this was the most welcoming club and the one that fitted best with our split interests. We partook in one of their social events recently and found the atmosphere to be good even though we were very new members and didn't particularly know anybody. If you are interested in Kayak Canoe SUP Sailing Rowing or even Motor cruising. Well worth having a chat with one of the committee members and popping down for the tour. They don't put any pressure on you to join...But once you see the rates and what they offer I think its a bit of a no brainer! I almost don't want to write this review incase I make the club too busy and end up never being able to get hire time on the club kit! But its a great little club and I and I know they will just expand their fleet if their member base grows! It is a self service club. So each member is due to volunteer 6 hours a YEAR to the club to assist with maintenance of the club and grounds...and they offer food on official "working weekends" so really there is nothing to complain about there!
