update April 2023 Bike serviced and made race-ready. Very friendly and helpful. Bike tuned brilliantly. Recommend these guys update Feb 2023. The only update is that I've used these guys a number of times more since my last review. I've had a few bike services done (of differing levels work required). they've also race-prep'ed a bike. Always super helpful, and their communication about what needs doing (esp if they discover additional work needed doing) is always tops. They've got a new online system which they use to communicate, which they can also put photos one, which make the whole process even better. we're very lucky to have a such a good shop so close. [older review] I've used these guys a few times now. They are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Whilst I was there, I saw a number of customers from hard core enthusiasts to people with very cheap bikes snd they spent time with each of them giving good advice, and in some cases explaining jow the customer could service the component themselves if they didn't want to wait. Absolutely no pushy sales techniques. I felt very happy to leave my bike there. This is an ideal local bike shop, and their opening hours are excellent. I've had a couple of emergency Sunday purchases also Highly recommended. (still)

Had annual service this week. Bike in bad shape after a winter of daily road use. Bike was completely stripped down, & basically rebuilt, with new gears being & brakes. Going like a dream. Feel very lucky to have Dan & the crew so local. Nice guys and great service.

Took my road bike in for a tune up after a summer of riding. Gary sorted out all drive train issues and ready to pick up in 24 hours. Friendly, helpful attitude. Great LBS. Looking forward to the spring now. Further to my last review I booked in my ‘80s vintage Peugeot 753 to swap out the cassette for something more knee friendly. Gary also changed rear wheel bearings and trued the rear wheel rim. Excellent job, bike feels great. Top LBS.

My two boys (age 5 and 6) use their bikes daily, but they needed a brakes and gears service. I was able to book a same day service a few days in advance. South London Cycles took the bikes at 10am, and had them both serviced by 3pm the same day. Amazing customer service - and they didn't charge an extra penny for the same day service. Thank you South London Cycles - I've been coming to you since the 70s when you were Youngs Cycles, then the Bike Shop, then Pedal It. You are as good now as you have been in the past. Review edit December 2020. Cycled in solo on our tandem triplet towing our two boys’ bikes. Pedal It did an excellent job servicing all three bikes.
