I stayed in South Hill Lodge B just for 3 nights and was very disappointed. First, the hall is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main campus, yet many of the conference participants selected it for the expected convenience, not the price! The plumbing is ancient. The sink has separate faucets for hot & cold and there is no ledge above the sink to hold one's toiletries. The toilet would not completely flush, always leaving something floating in the bowl. The shower head is small and unmovable and with low water pressure. The control was extremely difficult to turn, requiring more strength than some people, particularly women might have. The bed was comfortable but students might soon run out of storage space. The shared kitchen area has individual lockable compartments and there are two fridges although once you close the door, you need to wait 2-3 minutes before you can pull it open again!
