im not even gonna hold back in this so if the college is actually reading this take good notice. didn’t feel myself while i was there, people and teachers were rude as bull, as a 15 year old (year10) we was pressured to do our gcses this year (while in year10) which is all round stupid. there was absolutely no support from teachers at all, when you said you had a problem they’d say ok and push it to the side, or if they did try to fix it i’d get phone calls at 9am on days i wasn’t even in, i’ve blocked phone numbers and emails and wish not to keep in touch from anyone there since they are all rude. fix it you’re gonna lose money and students (good.) the teachers genuinely didn’t care about our mental or physical health and didn’t teach us anything. nothing important was being taught in english or tutorial or main aim they were all bull. i had been there from September 5th 2022 and feel like i haven’t learnt a single thing. since i joined my life has gone down hill, with anxiety about classes and GCSEs and being bullied and called names. the food was horrible and overpriced for the quality of the food, the chips were always so greasy and the butter was on a bowl just put on the side and had crumbs and most likely mold on it. the bathrooms were always dirty and always out of order and smelt so bad all of the time. coming from a 15 year old who used to go to this place, it was honestly horrible. my time there was the worst couple of months in my life ever really. everyone there was horrible, it changed me and not in a good way, in a way where i don’t feel myself anymore and i regret ever going there.

Currently a student here , I hate the college , I have given mutiple ways on how I can fix my attendance such as sitting at the front of the lesson for physical lessons when I'm ill or maybe when I'm very ill and can't attend send me small projects or assignments due at the end of the lesson , but no , they don't listen or care. I suffer with a low immune system , so getting ill is often for me everyday I suffer with sniffles and a coughs but sometimes if someone around me and they are sick and pass it to me it can drastically change quickly , even the college knows of how ill I can get but they do nothing about it , if I could give a 0 I would but I would be hating the whole college , the only facilities I love is the kitchen staff with the food , as well as the library, though be careful not always the computers are free

Studied Access to Nursing here because I prefer to learn in-person rather than taking the course online. I really enjoyed my time studying here and loved the teachers and support we had. The only downside would be that at times organisation and room allocation was up in the air (but this was due to the college admin not the teachers). There was also confusion on deadline dates at times which didn't match the Moodle platform so people would feel frustrated. However, I met some amazing people and I feel so much more prepared for starting University! It's also opposite University of Essex's Southend Campus and The Forum which was excellent for studying at and taking out books to help with assignments. I'll miss this class!

Studied photography here and it was the worst two years ever. There is no support in this college and the teachers do not care about you at all. Everything is unorganised and teachers do not seem to know what to teach and how to teach. The maths teachers are useless and do not know how to teach or handle a class. Teachers are rude and told me to not bother doing my course. Hated every minute of it and I'm so glad I’ve left! Avoid this college!!

This college is a joke and likely one of the worst educational establishments in Essex. Unless you want to spend your entire year fixing the colleges mistakes and making up for the fact they dont care about your education, I would look somewhere else ASAP. Avoid at all costs.
