Soul Control are without a doubt the best Soul/R&B music event organisers in UK history. From playing at Blues house parties in the early 80's to the Legendary Gallery Nightclub, they have set a level of live entertainment never before seen or matched since. T2 Bad was the driving force behind the Urban Music collective and it was because of this that Soul Control created the genre of Street Soul. Soul Control went on to create Soul Nation 104.6FM in 1993 which went on to become the most listened to Black Music radio station in UK radio history. For 5 years running they were voted in the Top 4 radio stations in the UK only finding themselves behind Radio 1 and Capital FM. In 1999, Soul Control went on to open Club Havana which rewrote the UK Clubbing hand book. Many major DJ artist were first broken at the Drum and Bass event Steppaz Presha, Underground UK Garage night Sugar & Spice and the award winning Rush Soul/R&B event every Saturday night. Soul Control's 80,000 Watt Macro DB Sound System transformed what constituted an Industry Pace Setting in house PA Rig. When this Sound System was in full effect, the ground shook, your trousers and skirts would flap & some some even claimed to struggle to control their bodily functions, such was the vibrations created from the eye popping Sound Pressure levels. Soul Control are also major music promoters and to date have 12 Arena events amongst hundreds of others in their portfolio, from Mary J Blige and Snoop Dogg to the UK's first major Cage Fighting event which the main event was refereed by former 2 time Undisputed World Boxing Champion 'Iron' Mike Tyson. Soul Control were also the foundation behind the exclusive High Society event Ultima, which boasted Samuel L Jackson and David Beckham amongst its clientèle. Every Soul Control I have ever attended has been of the highest calibre as they are the ultimate professionals in all they do. Soul Control's biggest event to date was The Bolt in 2000 which attracted over 120,000 people to this outdoor extravaganza over 2 days. Again Soul Control set new standards of Entertainment which have now become to goal of many Promotion Companies to match. Anything with Soul Control's name attached guarantees unrivalled quality of entertainment. Soul Control have never let me down yet and its only looking back that you can see how much gratitude the world owes them for the way Urban music has progressed over the last 40 years.
