No care no compassion,, most of the carers are inexperienced ,, they cut corners to try and speed things up, they tell lies to try and cover their own backs , if you do have these carers make sure you observe and monitor them,, extremely unprofessional at times, alot of cross contamination,, they don't do what they say on the packet,, try and avoid at all costs

The management team in general lack empathy for clients. They claim a lot of things on their web site yet a lot is not true. The management team do not want to help when you need it. They talk to you like you are a child at school and they are the teachers in authoritative tones and cold,when you phone with a concern. You feel uncomfortable ringing them with a problem because of how they make you feel. The office staff,management stick together and hate any criticism even when they are wrong but yet they are quick to criticise and never apologise when they have made mistakes. Multiple carers,different ones coming into my relative who has dementia and has a terminal illness. When I asked solitaire (after 12 months of them providing care) if my relative could have at least the same carer twice day in the week to help my relative as she does not have long to live and I know she would feel happier than a different carer 4 times a day...the answer was NO...the carers cannot build relationships with the clients,nor have the time to have a nice chat with clients as to many different faces in every day so you never get to know anyone and they dont get the chance to get to know you. When I asked if they can help with doing some shopping which they advertise on there web site they said NO...they told me all shopping for everyone has been cancelled,which I felt was untrue as some clients have no family members to do this and rely on the care company for this service. The owner does not seem to be around even though she has just one care office,this allows management to become complacent and not answerable for the way they talk to clients or clients relatives. It Feels so negative when dealing with them all at the office with exception of one lady called Karen who I cannot fault. Maybe they should learn from her how to talk to and listen to clients or relatives who are worried about the people they love. AVOID THEM or be constantly frustrated and sometimes angry with their attitude and wanting things to go there way.

Cannot fault solitaire cared for my mother very well indeed. All staff we came across were very caring and compassionate right until my mother passed away the office staff were always helpful too. Would recommend without hesitation
