A far less strict and formal club than many others in the area, SMFC will accept fliers who don't have their A license, and will help them to flying solo and to BMFA achievement awards. They fly from a field just off junction 16 of the M40, south east of Birmingham. In winter they fly and have a cup of tea indoors on alternative Wednesday evening at Christ Church, in Yardley wood. A very social and friendly club, member often go slope soaring and on other flying trips together. This makes the club and excellent place to fly, chat and enjoy the company of like minded rc fliers.
