This drs surgery is awful, the receptionist are rude and don’t what to look for appointments for people. Getting an appointment is a nightmare you can’t get through on the phone and when you go down they haven’t got any appointments .It is totally unacceptable that people can’t see a dr when they need to, and the public go in the drs stressed which is totally wrong because we as the public should and need to see a dr and be spoken to in a professional manner not you can’t see a dr and wait weeks to see on in the mean time people are dying because of this, something must be done.

Should it take 1 hour 10 minutes to speak to a real person after ringing at 8 am 2 seconds? It literally took that long......almost lost the will to live hearing the same "the calls at a capacity" followed by being cut off etc etc until I finally managed to get in the queue. Achieved a response at 9.10 am.....how many people can spare this amount of time? Thought you said SHP that you had sorted out the switchboard issues

While it can be difficult getting an appointment on the day, generally the level of service I have received recently has been excellent. I had a very useful visit today (23/1/2023). Dr Webb was excellent. The receptionist I dealt with (sorry, I'm not sure of her name) was very helpful and friendly, as she had been when booking my appointment last week.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but felt like I needed to, to share my frustration. As this is my first pregnancy, I called around 2 weeks ago to book my 16 week appointment with my midwife and after waiting in the queue for over 30 minutes, I was told by 2 different people that the surgery cannot book midwife appointments- I was transferred from person to person. Straight after, I phoned my midwife community team and they said no it is the surgery that must do it. Having checked the letters I received from the hospital, it stated on there that it is the surgery that must book this appointment. The following day, I phoned the surgery number again (waiting in the long queue as usual) and spoke to someone and explained the issue I had the previous day. This member of staff put me on hold for less than 20 seconds and confirmed that they can book this appointment for me! How infuriating! I received an apology for the lack of knowledge displayed the previous day but was given an appointment for 2 weeks later as that was the earliest appointment available. This level of care is simply not good enough and not reassuring at all for a first-time mum.

Absolute joke. Can't even get into the queue as it is at capacity. Every time I try to call.

They are good at arranging jabs and repeat prescriptions, but virtually impossible to contact by telephone. Tens of thousands of patients scattered over multiple locations and a switchboard that can't handle anything over 50 calls. Such a shame when the doctors are quite good.

No issue with the staff that are trying to keep things running, but I have to review to contribute to sending the message that this service is utterly and completely broken at its core. There are immensely long waiting times, only to be told there is no capacity for appointments. Their advice is always just to go elsewhere. I hope this once brilliant service can eventually be brought back to what it once was..

Horrible service. No response for urgent request! “ Leave it with me” means better to manage yourself with private clinic! My son with pneumonia didn’t receive any treatment or appointment from SHP!
