In my frustration ..... Once a supplier and installer of Solidor, beware .... Great designs in doors , shocking after care !! As a reputable company I have stood by my customers complaints and gone out of pocket, soon to go out of pocket again !! Regarding manufacturing and furnishing issues. To be told an after care manual has been supplied and you've already had one replacement within a year, ( same door, same issue), in all my 28 years of trading, I have never come across such bad aftercare.

Our Solidor was fitted in 2020. The door arrived badly bowed to the point where the door was really hard to operate the handle and open the locking mechanism. We've been fobbed off by both Solidor and the installer JLeaf. We've given up getting a replacement despite this being a known issue. I cannot recommend Solidor to anyone.

Having bought a multitude of doors from Solidor, I can safely say their aftersales team is one of the worst I have experienced. Fast lead time products. Awful customer service

The doors that we supplied to our clients looked great and worked well for a period of time, but we subsequently had to have countless replacement door slabs replaced due to water ingress and delamination. We replaced the slabs only to find that the same problems keep occuring, which has cost us greatly as Solidor don't pay us to go out and fix their shoddy products, they are also awful to deal with for complaints. We have changed over to a fully GRP rebated, steel mesh reinforced system around 6 years ago and havent had a problem, in fact they have been excellent doors to fit.

Paul the fitter who called about an issue we had with the glazing on our stable door gave very good advice and guidance on product. He was professional, polite and arrived on time . He is a credit to your Company. Can’t praise him enough.

Disappointed with our Solidor. The system is definitely not solid, maybe the timber inside the door itself is but the supporting frame and hardware is not. Does not live up to the hype sold on their adverts. Vinyl wrap peeling away when delivered brand new. I queried this with the installer who said they took a photo and just said keep an eye on it. Coatings on the hardware items flakes away - delivered with scratches which then peels away when scratched lightly with finger (within months of installation). Door side panels and top panels wobble and shudder when door closes - does not feel secure at all. After reading forums online others have this issue and may be due to the size of the door. Ultimatately, Solidor shouldn't attempt to make large doors if they can't ensure their structure is solid. Drafts through lock area (no draft excluder between lock and inside). All been installed properly by fensa installer. Just overall disappointed and would never purchase one again..looks like others have had similar quality issues.

I had a solider fitted in 2017. It was replaced in 2021 because the exterior was cracking. I am now having the door replaced again because its cracking. I think it's because the door is south facing its in the sun most of the day. Not a good idea covering a door in plastic Solidor especially if it's exposed to the sun. Solider is no good if it can't be exposed to the weather. Update as of 9.10.22 Solidor have contacted me but still haven't helped because they need my installers supplier details. I've tried to obtain them but they won't give them to me. So solider can't help me now. DO NOT use Solidor the doors are not fit for purpose and they won't help if you have problems. STAY CLEAR
