Myself and my partner attended the January 2023 hypnobirthing class and we can not recommend it enough. Sophy and Sally are both amazing people, both so nurturing and knowledgeable! They made us feel very welcome and created a safe space for us to learn and ask ALL of the questions. We chose to do the in person day class as opposed to online or reading a book, for a more personable experience, which we definitely felt that we received. Sophy and Sally tailored the day to the needs of the class and we were able to ask questions as we went through each topic. Something which I feel would be lacking from a different form of delivery. Having others in the class and being able to speak in person allowed us to draw from other people’s experiences and hopefully to allow new friendships to form! Thank you Sally and Sophy, I hope others have the same positive experience as us on your day classes. A personal highlight was the home cooked lunch and sweet treats!

Sophy and Sally put on a fabulous course on hypnobirthing. The session was informative and it was lovely meeting new mums. They made it such a relaxing and enjoyable session where I felt I could ask lots of questions and there was no question too silly. Hiring Sally as my birth doula was one of the best decisions I have made with regard to my preparation after a C-section. Sally was very supportive, respectful and encouraging and gave me the consistent care I really needed for VBAC. She ensured I have all of the information and tools available to feel confident about being pregnant and giving birth in a calm environment in accordance with my preferences and circumstances. On my baby's birthday she was also a godsend to my husband who was able to stress less and take care of our older child; she enabled us both to focus on what really mattered whilst dealing with my admission to the maternity ward efficiently and responsively. Postnatally she was by my side too by linking me in with other parents and professionals such as chiropractors, answering all of my questions about breastfeeding, and recommending reading about pelvic floor exercises and conditioning. Her hypnobirthing course which I took in July 2022 was also really informative and thorough and helped me to gain better understanding of different hospital practices and techniques I can use to improve my experience. Sally is a fantastic font of knowledge. My husband and I attended her 4 week hypnobirthing course and have come away feel more confident and empowered in any of our decisions we may make about not just the birth but care during our current pregnancy. Each week we met with other parents-to-be via zoom and had small tasks and dialogue that we could be involved with in keeping with the topics of the week. Afterwards Sally send out thorough overview of the weeks session with ‘homework’ to aid our journey. There was also access to online hypnobirthing TBU videos that echo what Sally had previously discussed. Being a 3rd time parent I felt fairly confident previous to the hypnobirthing course in the decisions we made and how informed we were but this absolutely opened up options further and made us more aware. Highly recommend anyone to join Sally in her hypnobirthing course, first time parent or otherwise.

I was a bit skeptical about hypnobirthing at first, not knowing much about it, but Sally's course has been fantastic! It was really informative and inclusive of different beliefs/situations/experiences. I was so scared and really having a wobble in my pregnancy but now I actually feel confident that I can and will have a positive birth experience. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed by birth, needs a confidence boost or just wants to be able to make informed decisions for themselves.

Bit of a long story but needed. After meeting Sally I knew I wanted a doula. I planned a home birth and had fast labour before so wanted someone I knew could turn up. Then the long build up started. I started to feel I wanted to be alone I didn't want company help or support. I wanted to be left alone. Fast forward to a routine appointment with midwife that went wrong... babys heart rate dropped severely... ambulance to hospital and home birth done...not happening. That point I wondered why did I hire and pay for a doula.. but then it started. Having to argue and fight for what i wanted.. I ran out if gas. Got tired of fighting. That's when Sally stepped in. She had already been so amazing even with what I felt she was there. As things started to snowball and go rapidly wrong she took over and fought my corner. Without going into too much detail my daughter survived because of her. She pushed for answers and second opinions which saved my daughters life. So regardless of my initial feeling that my home birth was dead so why bother? Sally proved it doesn't matter if plans change she will still back you and fight for what she knew I wanted and needed when I had given up. We will forever be grateful...xxx

I cannot recommend Sally enough for her doula services. The moment she began to work with us things began to change. I was having a difficult time with my midwife and her advice and support with that changed everything. I then felt empowered enough to express my birth wishes and have the home birth I wanted. I then had a birth experience beyond anything I could ever have dreamed of, it was truly blissful and surrounded by love and support from Sally. Birth cannot be planned but I have had two now, my first without a doula and the presence of Sally really did take away all the fears I faced with my pregnancy and birth. Doulas are such valuable birth workers that can help support the power and vulnerability that is present during this life changing time.
