Dodgers faded to grey in less than 6/12, terrible quality. They are really ugly. Sent them back, seems I have to wait for his supplier to resolve with him before they resolve with me, the customer. Been over two weeks now.....meanwhile no dodgers. I'll update... UPDATE- And there we go folks. He has wriggled out of replacing these or even making them again and just charging upgrade cost.. "contacted after 8+ months" Actually 7 months exactly and they had been on the boat 5.5mths. "canvas supplier and was told that being a "budget" canvas they don't offer the UV protection of a premium canvas" 0% UV stability actually,, which is odd for a marine material? If you have used bad material, THAT is not the fault of the end customer. These still cost £80.00 "I offed Kevin a fair discount on another set of dodgers in premium canvas" Errrr....why should I pay for two sets? "I wasn't too happy, that the canvas had faded, I have since stopped using any type of budget canvas" You weren't happy?? really?? and you wonder why I am niffed off with you as the supplier to me?? yeah I've lost motivation to be polite with you, you've ripped me off with some nasty product. This company's idea of an "arrangement", is 1) sell you dodgers that start off blue and within 5.5mths of being on the boat will be grey 2) when you complain, you're told "tough, buy another set from us with 20% off" This company needs to ask itself, is it right to have used a rubbish product, even if we didn't know it at the time, but when customers send the product back because they're terrible, the customer takes the hit? I Just want to add the email sent to me when I got a quote for the dodgers, using the material he made them from. "Hi good evening For a set of rectangular dodgers with no lettering , of 1407x 500 , albeit 1410 x 500 with the brass eyelets and shipping It would be £86 posted. The canvas in a hard going 600D Pu backed marine canvas , and I use a bonded polyester thread to match both are uv resistant" Note, he says, both are UV resistant". Sickening.
