Great little place tucked away on poland st, one of Londons best kept secrets! The menu is always simple so you know the food is fresh and on point. Service is efficient, though at busy times you can feel a little rushed but never pushy. Atmosphere matches the food perfectly. The upstairs cocktail bar is decent, but the speakeasy next door is where you’ll want to be after dinner.

Food was fine and ok value for prix fixe. The place was empty on a Saturday lunch time but they insisted on keeping the banquette tables free for larger groups (of which there were none). Servers lacked confidence and experience. ‘Sommelier selected’ is just a chic way to say house wine. The vibe and decor lack taste and care, the place very much smacks of a chain. Cocktails upstairs are good.

Great scallop starter. But unwhelming mains, the halibut was overcooked，and while the venison was cooked perfecty the lasagne didn't add to the dish at all. I've had much better meals in london , and it was a shame that my favorite bread and wine was closed. I mentioned to the waiter my feelings on the mains but no comment was made. I would have let that slide but from the moment we walked in we felt like we were looked down on even though the restaurant was quiet they had to check if tables were available. We also were asked to provide our name and number as if a possible no pay risk even, and after paying the bill and service charge ready to leave no one brought our coats back , having to walk of shame across the restaurant to obtain them. Much better food for the price to be had where you do actually feel welcome.

Thank you for a great evening! The food was amazing, great combinations of ingredients and flavours and all beautifully presented. The service was professional, nice and friendly. The prices and value for money of the fixed menu is excellent for a fine dining restaurant, I don't think there are any other restaurants in London that can beat it. Overall we had a great time and will be back again soon.
