    Our solicitor seemed overworked & uninterested in getting our sale & buying to any final conclusion. She was never in local office always East Wittering. We were never kept up to date with any progress. The estate agent we were buying from had to ring my husband 6pm at night once a week to ask why none of her questions or emails had been answered. It took 4 months for whole thing to go through . Even then we were about to withdraw our offer & move into rented. A conveyancer called Sarah from SMR took over & got it to finishing line. On afternoon of move SMR rang to ask for a paper bank statement where money difference would be deposited. Having already left Selsey we sent one via tracked recorded delivery immediately. For a whole week we sat on patio chairs & lived out of our packed cardboard boxes while SMR held on to this money. Why? Week later we'd had enough of waiting & spoke to Sarah who seemed shocked it hadn't been transfered to us & had to consult original solicitor. A 2nd call from my husband same day, & we eventually received the money in our bank account at 6pm Friday evening. I asked if this was legal, & she seemed very confused by delay. Couldn't go lower than 1 star.
