Had a riding lesson from Sue, riding Margaret the Clydesdale who was very steady. Sue was very knowledgeable and helped me with walking, stopping, steering and trotting. She told me about Margaret and her habits. I enjoyed it a lot. I recommend the first time you go in the daylight if possible because although it's signposted off Ringinlow Rd, once you get down the narrow road, it's hard to know where to go/park the first time. The gate opens when you approach it. (Didn't know that so I tried to park up) Then drive through a yard with some parking available or keep going to the next car park near the archery. You can easily book a private lesson online and then when you've been assessed you can book classes based on your level of competence. You also can take the horse back to her stable and untack them, which helps you understand "your" horse better Will go again 🐴
