Lovely site great location easy 20 minutes walk into Newark-on-Trent. Picturesque lakes and friendly staff. Facilities were like new spotlessly clean and warm although sadly the actual showers are a poor design and made that part quite unenjoyable for me. Dropped a star as we are touring for a few weeks staying on CL sites and booked this as we assumed it would have laundry facilities but it doesn't which seems strange for a site of its size but that was our fault we should have properly checked and not just assumed. Other than those two things we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff are friendly but if you want to go fishing only the price is good £15 for 24hrs.I fished with my friend for 3 days on specimen carp lake and didn't see any carp and tried various baits and different set ups but had no bites atall so won't be fishing there again.

Our views seem to differ to others but…. Tourers are almost guaranteed a waterside pitch as there are only about 14 hardstanding touring pitches. They are superb but; Nice modern showers, then somebody washes the dishes and your shower dies, when told they knew all about it ! To the left of said pitches is like a hippy set up, it looks a right mess. Over the pond and also to the right of the facilities are the seasonal’s, there very rough and scruffy and let the whole site down. No grey waste MH tipping point ! But, the area we were in (pitches 1-14) was lovely and offered probably the best Dog walking area I’ve ever used. Walk to Newark, it takes 30 minutes and is worth it, lovely town.
