    By far the most awful experience I’ve ever had. Purchased the SMART four four in red - number plate (HG67FHS). Took over 2 weeks for them to do ‘cosmetic’ work on the vehicle. Which wasn’t done. Drove it off the forecourt only for a transmission malfunction error message to show up & it went go into limp mode the motor way. Staff were unapologetic and said ‘these things happen’. Nearly caused a very serious car incident on the motorway with a child in the back. I can’t believe they’re still trying to sell this car after telling me it was unfixable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    After finding a car on auto trade that fit what we were after, we wanted to phone and double-check that the car was still available before driving down there. The phone call lasted all of 5 seconds. Me asking and being told no, and then he hung up no bye just no and gone. I had more questions whether they had any other cars similar to that but didn't get the chance. In the end, I found another place where you can speak to staff and have them answer all your questions.

    We were very interested in a Smart Forfour Brabus and when showing interest received good communication. However after test driving it and saying we'll have a think, communication became quiet and we weren't even informed the car had interest from others and has now sold.

    The service i have received from smart lakeside has been terrible. I have sn electric smart which malfuctioned in august, i was told by recovery team it needed a softwear update, as the car was booked in for a service i asked if they could fo this at the same time, when i collected the car it hadnt been done after a week of phone calls i eventually got to speak to a manager who basically made me feel stupid and was rude and unhelpful and told me it dosent need softwear update 2 months later i have had the car malfuction again just as i was on my way out, so had to pay for a taxi as it has not had the softwear update it was supposed to a mobth ago, hopefully they are more helpful this time round

    My Smart car went if for a service on 06/08/2021 and there was an un-opened packet of cigarettes left on my seat. When I came to collect the car once it was ready the cigarettes were gone. I went inside and was waiting around for 20 minutes as staff tried to get rid off me. Eventually I spoke with Keith Arnold said they might have thrown my cigarettes away when the car was cleaned. I pointed out to him outside that the car hadn't even been cleaned. He told me to email him the receipt for the cigarettes and he would pay for them. That was on 09/08 and I still have not received any money. Totally disgusting on principal to not only steal something but then to delay payment... if they intend to pay at all! You do not expect this from a main dealer at all. You expect your belongings to be safe. Even my dashcam had been unplugged and fiddled with, wonder why....? Would have given 0 star if I could.

    The sales team at smart of Lakeside were both extremely knowledgeable, helpful and supportive from my initial interest to final delivery of the vehicle. They sent me a lovely film the day before collection showing me my new car, Then followed up with a call the next day to check that all was well. Overall a very nice experience.

    Took our smart in for service and they had it 945 called 1630 and said won't be done today so we said we wanted it back they didn't stamp the service book we asked them if they could do it which they did and said fill mileages in yourself!!!!!!
