Further to the review I made on the 6th of May 2022 of Smart Move bad practices, I received a phone call from the manager on the 10th of May 2022 threating me with legal action, as he previously did in February 2022. As my previous review was quite long I didn’t not get the opportunity to state other issues that i experienced with Smart Move. Firstly, Smart Move did not carry out a single inspection at the property for six months until the issue had been escalated in a police case as the tenant was continuously destroying the property which Smart Move did nothing about. Therefore, their claim of providing an inspection report is unfounded as they never carried out an inspection neither was an inspection report received from them. Also, Smart move deducted their yearly commission of £1500 within the first three months even though the contract signed stipulated this was to be done on a monthly basis, over a 12month period. Even though Smart move took an inventory check at the beginning of the agreed tenancy agreement , I have videos and pics of all the stuff that was left over in the property by their tenant after she vacated and which I had to dispose off at my own cost. Please note, even though Smart Move threatened me with legal action, I will not be removing my previous review as it's an honest review of the experience my mum and I endured throughout dealing with Smart Move. Moreover , I believe the purpose of a customer review platform , is to allow consumers to have a voice and also to help companies understand their customers satisfaction as the review can honestly highlight what customers truly want.If anything , my reviews should motivate Smart Move to improve their customer service by quickly and efficiently resolving the issues that my mum faced so that they create a positive experience for their future clients and always focus on prioritizing their needs. I'm extremely glad it's my mum's last day having to deal with SMART MOVE in EDMONTON GREEN. Unfortunately, I have to give them a 1 star rather than the ZERO STAR they deserve for poor customer service. Sometime in mid September 2021 , after witnessing the challenges my mum was facing with her tenant and SMART MOVE , I made what I believe was an honest review only to be threatened to remove the post failing which the Manager from the latter threatened to withhold my mum's rental income . Their manager in my opinion is a habitual liar and it's unfortunate this negative trait seems to have spread throughout his whole team there. Some of the things he failed or neglected to do : securing a deposit from the tenant , communicating the contractual obligations to the tenant & making sure she understood fully , carrying out regular check -ups and inspection of the property. Consequently, my mun not only had a bad experience with the tenant but her property was left in a terrible state and because no deposit was secured from the tenant , we had to cover the cost for the paint job and to remove a lot of items that the tenant left when she moved out.All this could have been avoided had the Manager done his job diligently. Overally , the Customer service received by my mum was below par and nothing close to what my mum was promised when she initially engaged SMART MOVE. I could go on and on but for today I will end here. I believe there is room for them to do better and improve their service delivery in future.
