Impossible to get appointments, even for something time sensitive or an emergency. Receptionists are incredibly rude and unhelpful. The training GPs are great when you can get one, other than that all the good ones leave pretty fast.

Ruksana the receptionist is very heartless and rude. She speaks down to you like you are nothing. I called as I had a chest infection, might have covid and wanted to request antibiotics from a GP, I was struggling to speak but she did not let me leave a message for the GP. She said we can't leave messages, it's changed I asked when she first she said I don't need to know then she said 3 years ago and I know that is a lie as I have always left messages in the last 3 years and even did this a few months ago. Her solution was call 111 or 999 or go to A&E or call tomorrow when I could have easily left a message for a GP to request antibiotics considering how unwell I am. The recpetionists need to be taught compassion and people skills, it's unacceptable to speak to anyone like that let alone sick people. I am also going to make a HUGE complaint to the Parlimentary and Health Service Ombudsman about Dr Dutton who I visited and cried to because of health issues which have esculated now because of her negligance. She spoke to me very rudely and said every issue I had was because of my weight and said "It's simple Sumayyah, just lose weight" which hospital specialists habe confirmed is not the case. The tone she spoke to me in was so disgusting, never ever experienced a GP speak like that. Hats off to GP's like Dr Caruana, Dr Shah, Dr Sweeney, Dr Biswas, Dr Abid and there was another Dr who's name I can't remember, I think she was Chinese, she was lovely, who actually care and speak to the patients with respect and don't behave like Dr Dutton

Receptionist are terrible and condescending to patients with no or little English. As a multi lingual speaker I’ve been able to speak on behalf of complete strangers. Will hang up on the phone on you mid sentence and have no patience to listen. Instead will be abrupt in interruptions and foul in mood. Honestly it’s disgraceful that people who are already sick have to deal with such staff. My observation of staff are that they don’t have any people skills and no sense of simple human compassion. I have seen and witnessed the phone ignored. I have seen the head of the phone placed on the table to avoid calls. I have seen grown elderly men and women sit for hours in the reception with the understanding they will be soon. When I query I find they’ve been told to sit because the receptionist just wants them to sit away until GP closes. Until I intervened they received no care, attention or urgency to be seen. It is incredible how their behaviour is allowed to continue. Their needs to be a way patients can complain. Sincerely miss the old doctors the likes of Dr Roper who would look after his patients and under his watch behaviour like the ones I mentioned would not go unchecked. One more thing! I use to work for 111 and let me tell you the receptionist are incompetent in understanding serious medical conditions nor don’t have an ounce of professionalism when communicating with patients. This GP many years ago was great but now it’s awful. Finally, for new comers I don’t recommend this GP if you have better options.
