Zoe Gillespie has been the best thing happened to our 4 year old son and to us as a family. She started speech therapy with our son an year ago and supported him brilliantly with his speech and social communication needs. We have continuously seen improvement with our sons speech and behaviour since she started the therapy. She has also been visiting him in school and gave them plans specific to our sons needs.School was able to understand and implement support for him because of her help. She is not only excellent at her job but her communication skills with parents and teachers is simply brilliant. She is very competent, professional, punctual and efficient. She is reassuring and friendly to our son and very quickly adapts to his needs to support him better. Will definitely recommend her to other desparate parents struggling with their childrens speech and language issues.

Beth is an integral part of our SEN team within school. Not only is she passionate about what she does, but she has extensive experience within the secondary school age range; her knowledge about how speech and language needs impact on older children, and the training she has delivered to teachers and teaching assistants, has been invaluable in supporting these students in school. Students enjoy her sessions, and look forward to seeing her each week. We have seen evidence of excellent progress for the young people Beth works with, particularly for students with social communication difficulties.

Leighann Farrell, our school Speech & Language Therapist, has always made herself available to all members of staff, be it Teachers, T.A.’s, the Senior Leadership Team or our Office Staff. She always has a smile on her face and has kind and encouraging words for our children. She offers a wealth of knowledge considering her time spent in her profession, which she continues to share with us on a regular basis. So far she has done two school presentations, both of which she made interesting and kept everyone’s attention focused, and then answered all questions put to her in a professional manner explaining thoroughly where needed. I have worked quite closely with her of this last school year being the only SEN Teaching Assistant in school and her advice over certain children has been invaluable. She has helped with resources that I may not had available or just pointed me in the right direction so I could find and make my own. She has an amazing rapport with the children and groups she works with (along with those she does not), and they are all more than happy to come into our room to work and show what they have learnt before they leave to go back to class. Leighann has had contact with all members of our staff on a professional level. She has given successful advice as to what she was looking for within the classroom environment (display work), in such a way that no one has felt any kind of interference from her. Staff feel free to “pop into my room” where she is based with questions for her when needed and are never turned away. For me, it has been advantageous to know whether or not the work I am doing is being delivered correctly. For example: Lego Group Intervention. I have never been involved with this before, but Leighann not only talked me through it, she also demonstrated a session until I felt comfortable and then gave me verbal feedback as to what was correct and what could be improved upon, which is of extreme importance to me. I like her honesty and the way she relates to our families, but most of all, the way she stimulates children of different ages she works with.
