Shopping for formal clothes is very much out of my comfort zone and having arrived to see the massive selection of suits and jackets on offer I felt very overwhelmed. In stepped Alan, an absolute credit to Slaters, his advice was excellent and allowed me all the time I needed to make a decision that I felt comfortable with. I was able to try on many colours and styles untill I finally found the outfit that worked for me. Friendly staff, and nothing was too much trouble.

While looking for a suit I thought I try slaters, outstanding customer service today from Alan F really friendly, well dressed and professional, I request a grey suit with my price range and size and with in momments I had options of suits available to me, it was quick and efficient with impeccable manors l would 100% highly recommend this store for all your male formal wear needs.

We used Slaters for our wedding and we hired the suits. They was always approachable and very helpful when there, they was always happy to help. Unfortunately, it was a bumpy ride for us, we picked the suits we liked and put a deposit down, we was told the suits wouldn't go anywhere as they are now held.. shortly after this we was then informed the suits are now gone and no longer in stock - I wasn't too pleased however the manager Simon contacted me and ensured me they would be in stock and was happy to put a discount on the suits for the trouble (really nice guy) The weeks leading up to the wedding, we was told we should come in for a fitting, which I totally agree. Mine and my other two groomsman suits was fine, however one of my groomsman trousers were nearly two foot longer and didn't fit at all.. this is why they say about getting a fitting done to check the suit but how could they get a measurement so wrong?? The day before the wedding my other groomsman who didn't have a fitting but got measured, tried on his suit and it also didn't fit.. more stress but I understand the suits should be tried on in the weeks leading up. When I took the suits back, and said how disappointed I was, it felt like I was fobbed off with a "should of tried it on" I agree, but how can you get the measurements so wrong? Either way, lovely suits, staff are good when there, experience wasn't great. [Edit] Would I use Slaters again? Yes. The suit for me, couldn't be better, it was smart, well looked after and made my now wife happy. So I am thankful for that.
