Set in the main street we weren't staying at hotel but having a meal and drinks. My first choice of fish pie was no longer available so went for homity pie which was very tasty. Daz had a burger and HUGE portion of skinny fries which went down well. Aunt chose the chicken with veg and was happy too . A large red wine, pint of Thwaites and whisky and ginger brought bill to £80 exactly. Not cheap but par for the course at the minute. NB payment by card only. Plenty of seating available both in front conservatory, middle restaurant and also brasserie at rear. Great staff and quick service

Went to the hotel for a meal following a meeting. The menu was really wide ranging. In my view the prices were competitive. The service was swift and friendly with the staff also being attentive. The food was delicious with the portion size being substantial but not excessive. A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Food & drinks: Delicious main course and terrific sweet. Main course of beef found inside a suet pudding was absolutely fabulous. It was wonderful full of flavour and so tasty. The pudding was also just the job - overall the meal was so enjoyable and as previously stated, in my view, competitively priced.

Had no debit card, ordered coffees and lunch, brought to table and they say no cash accepted? Had to leave it all on the table and leave, how ridiculous
