Okay so we normally go to the Trafford centre for the ice skating but decided to try another rink. This was overcrowded, too many bodies, ice wasn't clean enough to be able to glide, very gritty. I think there needs to be a limit on the ice per hour instead of cramming everyone in on the ice.

Before Christmas, a friend had taken me to Skate Manchester to attempt ice skating for the first time. We were overconfident and assumed it would be much easier, so we spent our time in the rink constantly falling and slipping. To say it was a disaster would be an understatement - though I mean that in the best way possible. It's definitely enjoyable despite how inexperienced you may be - and of course, the employees are lovely and always quick to pick you up and assist you. I recommend visiting Skate Manchester to others for the holiday season, and I look forward to returning later this year as it becomes an annual Christmas tradition for my friends and I. It is expensive (at £17.50 per adult for one session with additional £2 charges to use cloakroom facilities) though I guess that is expected during peak season.

Hubert & Josephine we’re awesome! Very welcoming and kind when my best friend had an autistic-related sensory overload panic attack. The team brought a wheelchair over for her and took care of her while the rest of us resumed skating. It was lovely that everyone felt cared for and that no one missed out on fun! The skating arena was super. They have 1 under the roof (Semi-Open) and 1 small Open arena. You can enjoy skating in both of them as per your ease. In a host, it was a great experience
