Absolutely adored my 12 week Tuesday night class with Linda. It can be a bit nerve wracking committing to trying something new for 12 weeks, with a bunch of strangers! However, Linda was so kind, knowledgeable, warm and relaxed that every single one of us starting looking for to Tuesdays as our favourite day of the week. The space is beautiful, the staff are nice. Could not more strongly recommend!

I did a 6 week beginner course with Skandihus. The studio is lovely and the teachers great and very knowledgable. However, in throughout the course, my group had 4 different teachers which meant that there was no continuity of teaching and I didn't feel we were supported throughout creating our pieces as we would have been with one single teacher. In the final class when we did glazing, one of the people didn't have any of her items fired - they all got lost/weren't ready - so she had to work with a random piece just to be able to practice. When I went to pick up my finished pieces 4 weeks after the course had finished, one of them was missing as well which means that, provided it's found, I'll have to travel to the studio again to collect it. Organisationally it's been a mess but individually the teachers were nice and it was great to try something new.

Really really enjoyed the 12 week class I took with James... It was a wonderful, calming addition to my hectic work week. James was very patient and encouraging, and had lots of great advice and tips. I can now throw on the wheel without wrecking my pieces every time, thanks James! Also made a really cool lamp during the class, which I'll treasure. Good vibes, really recommend.

Our teacher was not experienced however she was lovely hence 3 star instead of 2. Did not get to glaze our work even though paid for firing.

Very disappointed. Was hoping for a couple of hours of creativity but the class was full of restrictions and definitely not creative vibes. We were only allowed to use a specific amount of clay, make something not bigger than a mug and did not even get a chance to glaze our own pottery. After two months wait my piece was finally fired, glazed and lost some of its parts. What a «great» service 😔😔😔

Absolutely loved my beginners course at Skandihus! Anna was a brilliant & fun tutor & I was so surprised at how much I learned & improved over the six Sundays. The work shop is light, welcoming and well equipped. I decided to take the course as a creative form of relaxation & escapism, which I definitely experienced - and now I’m hooked on pottery too! I highly recommend Skandihus!
