    I had a fantastic experience renting a car from this car rental office, and I must say that one employee, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and efficient, making the rental process a breeze. The rental car was clean and well-maintained, and I had no issues during my entire rental period. However, the standout of my experience was the employee helping us. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different car options and helped me select the perfect vehicle for my needs. He was also very patient in explaining (even in Italian) the rental agreement to me and answering all of my questions. Moreover, when I returned the rental car, he took the time to ask about my rental experience and whether I had any feedback for the office. His friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills made my experience at this car rental office truly outstanding.     Excellent customer service, helpful staff since initial collection and later on assisting on the situation. However the Hammersmith Novotel car park has extremely low ceiling, it is not suitable for big cars to be parked and handover there. The car can easily be damaged by water pipes / metal signs from the top. No reminder / warning was given to customer driving a big car. I’ve rented from other SIXT branch with reasonably decent carpark. We spent 1.5 hours to collect the car due to untimely communication between carpark and branch. A car that we booked for was sitting inside the car park, but not shown on the branch computer. We were handed over the wrong vehicle (MUCH BIGGER), had to walk back up to the branch (as car park staff said they can’t help with booking matter), and wait for the right one to be cleaned. All of these were due to SIXT made an assumption that everyone can drive a 9-seater big van (VW Transporter), without asking if the customer want such an upgrade from a medium size 7-seater (VW Caddy).

    Really outstanding service. I turned up on Sunday 12th having reserved a specific vehicle only to realise I’d mistakenly booked the rental for a week later. The team speedily found a solution for the same price that I’m sure was a lot harder to sort out than they made it seem. Delighted with the service, the car provided and the overall ease. Will definitely book again with Sixt Hammersmith.

    I have used SIXT quite regularly and have generally been quite happy with them however this was an exception. I turned up to the office at the time my rental was booked for and am told they were just about to call me to tell me they have no cars. I am given the option of getting a car much later than I booked or getting a refund. Bear in mind this is the day of the booking leaving me no time to find alternate plans. On top of this after pushing further I find out that they do have a car but am told it was £500 extra despite having a reservation and it not being my fault they don’t have a car for me. In the end the person serving me (Aman) did manage to find me a car at another branch and I was able to continue my journey. I understand that this was a situation outside of his control and the best was done in a bad situation.

    These people are fundamentally dishonest. They see car rental as a scam where they will attempt to rinse as much money as possible from you by inventing or exaggerating damage to the car. I’ve successfully countered their attempt to bill me for almost £800 illegally, but it took hours of my time and the engagement of a lawyer. Sixt maybe cheaper than Enterprise, but the hours and hours of stress it took to stop them stealing my money was not worth the small saving. Don not use Sixt, do not trust Sixt. Avoid. It is worth noting how quickly they will back down when a lawyer presents them with the gaping holes in their baseless claims.

    Booked a premium car. Received a very average car. Returned the car early. Was charged for late return. Clueless. If you hire from Hammersmith, or any Sixt for that matter, make sure you take a photo of your return entry parking ticket as they will take no time at all in falsely charging you for a "late" return when it was returned a day early, but then take 3 weeks to reply back to you asking you why they've done this and then you have to waste more of your time proving they have incorrectly charged you. Sadly, not a one off because the only reason I took a photo of my return entry carpark ticket is because they played this same underhand trick on my neighbour who also returned his car early, who kindly warned me they do this before I returned by car. Very shoddy behaviour.
