I have visited SIS Furnishings twice in the last couple of months and have bought a chair and a bed headboard. I'm very happy with both purchases and the prices are really reasonable. The sale's lady was helpful and friendly and I think SIS Furnishings are well worth a visit.

So patronizing! Twice the lady here basically laughed at me and made me feel so small. I called over a year ago once I had picked out some sample carpets and had measured my room, upon calling and when I gave my measurements her response was, "oh...that's a really small room" and basically laughed at me. I don't need strangers judging my house and giving me complexes I didn't even know existed...so rude. I went in again because I wanted to get some information on skirting boards, as you need this done before the carpet and thought they might have some information or contacts - considering there were no other carpentry/decorated shops in the area and thought I could get some advice or someone to point me in the right direction. She laughed in my face and said its a different thing...I know that skirting boards are different to carpet, but was completely lost and just needed someone to give me a bit of guidance - my fault for thinking that polite customer service still exists! I had added questions on checkatrade and googled away, so thought as I'm not getting a straight answer carpet layers might know other carpenters that could possibly help, or at least point me in some direction - this is my FIRST HOUSE, and I don't have parents to help me or tell me the answers, or fix it for me, I'm doing it along and I just needed some help. As she smirked at me she mentioned it's different, and they don't do that there...and literally made me feel so small, even when I was trying to explain that I know they're different I was just looking for guidance. Every time I opened my mouth to try and explain my reasoning, she just smirked and said no...you can maybe try the builders down the meadway. I was tempted to buy a few furniture items from these guys, but honestly the level of arrogance and rudeness has made me not want to. If you respect yourself, don't bother going in there...you're better off doing a group van booking and heading down to IKEA. Honestly, the older lady here will look down at you like she isn't sitting in Chelmsley Wood herself.
