1 of our 3 dishes was fine (roast duck), the other 3 totally disappointing, bland and overly greasy. I was looking forward to Sichuanese specials of ma po tofu and spicy aubergines, but the dishes we got were almost bland and had zero Sichuanese pepper in them. The aubergines were coated in thick starch, and both dishes were filled with other veg (sliced carrot, mushroom, pepper), which I wasn't expecting (never had it in these dishes in other restaurants and never seen in recipes). These additions and the bland flavouring resulted in poor versions of these Sichuanese classics. Disappointing. I was looking forward to that famous Sichuanese pepper zing and chilli heat. I even asked for it specifically, but didn't get it. I probably won't order here again.

Unfortunately, apart from the food I did not have a very good experience at this restaurant. While I was sat eating, I saw a Deliveroo rider come in and ask to use the toilet, while he waited for his order to be ready. The staff refused to let him use the toilet because he wasn’t a customer there. I found that extremely rude and disrespectful with the rider, as he is also a human being and has these types of needs while picking up orders and waiting outside.
