Sir Robert Napier Equestrian Statue is an imposing sculpture looking over at Hyde Park. Sir Robert Napier was an Indian army officer. He was born in Ceylon, the son of an Army Officer. Sir Robert also served in China and Abyssinia. Field Marshal and Constable of the Tower of London. Sir Robert Napier died at home at Eaton Square. There is still some debate about who was the actual sculptor of this and I am current researching this further and will edit this review in future when I learn more.

A fine statue, though Napier's enormous nose has been de-emphasised -- compare the astonishing bust of him in the National Portrait Gallery. The marker on the map is in the wrong place. The statue is at the north end of Queen's Gate, not Palace Gate.
