I was referred here by my GP and told I’d received a letter or text confirming the date and time of my appointment. I received a text on 02/03/ telling me I had an appointment at 5pm that day, and that not attending would cost the NHS £137.. but the text was sent at 5pm exactly on that day?? No prior letter or text so I couldn’t possibly have made it, I called several times, that day and since, no one answered. I emailed, no answer. This referral was important and they made no effort to notify me of my appointment until the date and time I was booked in, or to schedule me an appointment since.

There was a mix up with my appointment so I arrived at 8am in the morning waited in line at the reception as I was waiting a lady came and asked to be let out the double doors as they wouldn’t open the lady sitting at the back at the reception told her we do t get up to let people out you will have to call the maintenance man I was very shocked at the attitude towards the lady I looked direct at the rude reception but she would not have eye contact with me I walked with the lady to see if I could assist with letting her out the doors would not open I came back to the reception and asked for someone to open the door straight away one of the receptionist will get the maintenance to let us out as I walked away towards the door someone outside used her pass to get in and eventually we let ourselves out my point is the attitude towards the woman was dreadful and it’s my fist time being at this centre.

Big time-sink. Even if you account for the fact that NHS is heavily underfunded. Spent the good part of the day waiting for a phone-call appointment they said will happen. They never called, but on record, they did, and left a voice-mail. In the smart-phone era, I find this to be an incredible explanation, as someone who goes regularly on-call, I understand when things like that can happen (when not - never). Really, the only reason though, was that I needed a prescription. It was a simple pick-up. It was a 5-minute consultation. Instead, this became something I had to chase up, spending hours, and ended up being resolved in matter of 1 week, rather than 5 minutes. Why end up wasting everyone involved's time when this has to get resolved anyway?

I had a good experience visiting this center earlier today for a health check-up. I met with Onos who very patiently explained everything to me and answered the questions I had before setting up for my test samples. I then met with Amanda who quickly and expertly executed my blood tests. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time and was finished and out 20 minutes later. The facilities were clean and tidy. The building is nicely presented, albeit a little hard to spot from the main road as it seems to blend a little too well into it's surroundings.
