As Promised the MOB review of Siah Howard (in relation to the two reviews left below by Ceri). As a mother of the bride, there are many things, that you want for your daughter on her wedding day. To be happy marrying her soul mate. To feel beautiful and confident. To have the most memorable day which she will always treasure. So finding the most perfect dress was so very important. I researched Siah Howard on the internet and the write-ups seemed really good, and even better knowing that her studio was so close and convenient for my daughter, as she lived close by. Which obviously could have been a big plus for dress fittings etc. Having sadly lost her Dad a year and a half prior Ceri wanted to add personal touches to the dress in memory of her Dad. So going down the designer route seemed the best idea. The first couple of meetings seemed to go well enough, but after the contract was signed, and work was in progress sadly this did not seem to be the case . In the contract, the dress was supposed to be completed by the 14th May 22 ( 7 weeks prior to the wedding date). The dress was only just in its very early stages at this time. All the personal touches were nowhere near to being added, and indeed two weeks before the wedding date, Ceri was unable to sit down in the dress because the bodice was not right. All in all the whole process was a shambles. We paid a great deal of money for a Wedding dress that was never worn. Throughout the whole process, we tried to be positive although all the delays bore heavily on Ceri's well-being. She hated the fittings and even started to lose her hair due to stress. Every cloud has a silver lining they say because 1. 5 weeks before Ceri's big day, we both went into Central London to the Selfridges store, went straight to the Bridal Section and with no fuss or interference my daughter tried on 11 bridal dresses by an amazing designer Needle and Thread and chose not one but two amazing dresses for day and evening which fitted her perfectly and even more amazing at under half the cost. She looked magnificent, and yes happy tears were made by both my beautiful daughter and myself her very proud mum. Just like you see in" Say Yes to the Dress". So if I can pass on any tips to future brides and parents of brides I would say: 1-Dont just take the reviews of the Designers. 2-See evidence of their bridal Collections and their workmanship. 3-Dont hand over payment in full until entirely happy. 4-Get your daughter to try on all the different styles of Wedding gowns before choosing the right style for her. 5-If you have a nervous bride go to the big department stores to their bridal sections and try on styles without an audience. Make it a fun experience. 6-Just in case you have a bride who is not that fussed about keeping her dress we found out that Harrods rent out Wedding Dresses if that's more to her liking. No matter how bad things may seem at times Weddings can be stressful but always turn out brilliantly on the Day. My daughters did and we all had a beautiful memorable day. Shopping for a wedding dress can be intimidating. It's not something you do every day. However, at Siah Howard Haute Couture, the entire experience was great! It is convenient and it is absolutely beautiful. We were greeted by Andreya and Moi, who were eager to learn more about us and make us feel comfortable. It's like they can read each other's minds with the dresses and accessories that they selected. There is a large, private area to try on dresses. So many beautiful choices! My advice? While they listen to you, you listen to them and their experience. "The dress" turned out to be nothing like what was expected as far as style, but met all expectations as totally loving a gorgeous dress

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Siah Howard Haute Couture. After my initial phone consultation with Siah Howard, I knew I was going to find the dress of my dreams at the Atelier. I feel like I got so lucky in having Siah help me find what I was looking for. She had me try on a dress that I might not have normally been drawn to but that ended up being the dress I chose and I couldn't be happier! Not only is the shop so beautiful and welcoming, everyone that works there is to!

Incredible Experience! Dear Brides, Wedding Dress Shopping is a rollercoaster to say the least. But there is hope, and that hope comes in the form of a little shop filled with sunshine, smiling faces, and the most stunning dresses in the London! Siah Howard Haute Couture promises to have your dress, either on the rack or they will whip out some fabric and MAKE IT! As was the case with me. I spent months attending appointments filled with what seemed the same dresses over and over again, and never the dresses I described or asked for. And then came to Siah, my ray of sunshine! Siah and her girls whisked me into a private room filled with swaths of fabric, sample dresses, and my bestest friends. A few hours later we had custom designed my EXACT dress using fabrics I can only assume fell from heaven. Since that day, the team has been in constant contact with me to ensure that everything is being made exactly the way I envision it. This is truly the little shop that could! Siah Howard Haute Couture was the first place I went looking for my wedding dress and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I had vague ideas of what I liked and might be looking for in a dress but really had no idea where to start; Siah made the process so easy. We started with trying on dresses I picked out among existing options, but since I loved a few different dresses with very different styles and was struggling to choose, she helped me identify what exactly I loved in each one and then combined these features to let me have the best of all worlds. She took the time to get to know me, my ideas and things that were most important for me in our wedding, and I think all of that is reflected in my dress. Siah and her team went above and beyond, including a phone conference with my mom and me to brainstorm after my initial visit and squeezing us back in on a busy day to solidify my final choice. So grateful for Siah and her team’s thoughtful deliberation in building a dress that is truly one of a kind and perfectly suited to me!
