I did not have a pleasant experience with the staff at SiUK branch in Mumbai (India). Siuk doesn't charge students and pocket their fees by having a share in the fee students pay to the University. And because of this, accountability on SiUK's part goes for a toss as they are not really obliged to provide you the best services in return of a fee. Ms Hifza Kazi (Mumbai branch) conveyed the news of my final acceptance of admission to me (19th Dec 2022) in a UK based University 5 days after the letter was issued by the University (14th Dec 2022) to her/SiUK (as the consultants are the first point of contact for the Universities). Because of that perfectly avoidable 5 days delay, I had to pay an additional INR 26,000 for a priority visa application as the date of joining was awfully close by the time Ms Hifza shared the letter with me. And the excuse she presented for not delivering the letter to me in time was that she was unwell, on leave and that only she had the access to her computer in the office so nobody else could have checked! Extremely unprofessional. Will SiUK compensate for the additional expense I had to go through?? I am leaving a feedback for a Mumbai based case here so that you could take appropriate measures keeping the best interests of students in mind. I could have just gone ahead with a normal VISA application had it not been for the delay from SiUK Mumbai! Also, the University I finally got into was not even a part of the original shortlist from SiUK. It was my suggestion to include it since they were open for a January intake for the course I was interested in. This means there could have been other Universities where my application could have gone but didn't because of inadequate research on SiUK's side??
