FAQ

What types of orthopedic shoes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of orthopedic shoes, including those designed for specific foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, and diabetic feet. We also offer orthotics and insoles to provide additional support and cushioning for your feet.

How do you ensure a proper fit for customers?

We have trained staff who will measure your feet and assess your gait to ensure that the shoes you choose fit properly and provide the necessary support and comfort. We also offer a variety of sizes and widths to accommodate different foot shapes.

Do you accept insurance or Medicare for payment?

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance or Medicare for payment at this time. However, we do offer financing options and accept major credit cards.

Will my insurance cover the cost of the prosthetic device?

We do not offer prosthetic devices at our store, so we cannot speak to insurance coverage for those items. However, we do offer a range of orthopedic shoes and accessories that may be covered by insurance with a prescription from your doctor.

Do you offer any ongoing support or maintenance for the prosthetic device?

Again, we do not offer prosthetic devices at our store, so we cannot offer ongoing support or maintenance for those items. However, we do offer fitting and adjustment services for our orthopedic shoes and accessories to ensure that they continue to provide the necessary support and comfort for your feet.

Went in with my partner to get some insoles as we’ve been getting feet/knee pain recently. Got some specially molded insoles which seems to have worked well so far. They said it can be refunded within a period if you don’t like it as well!

Cant give zero stars as that is what I would leave if possible! Visited today and chose 2 pairs of boots. Went to pay at the till and was told by the staff they do not except £50 notes. They would take other notes but my bill was £130. I had 2 £50 notes and 2 £20 i had no other means of payment. The staff were rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. Why turn away a genuine customer with genuine money and make them feel very uncomfortable infront of other customers who agreed with me what a ridiculous statement to make. Any denominations of money can be fraudulent but they only refused £50 notes! I left without purchasing anything and will not be returning. There attitude was as bad as their statement.

Frequently shuts 20+ minutes early on Saturdays - no explanation. When you do find the shop to be actually open, the quality of their own brand shoes has deteriorated - poor quality leather, fragile heel unit and made in China.

Good day, to anyone who has read the negative reviews and is considering not using Shuropody in Oxford. I have been working there for about 9 months as a Foot hygienist, known professionally as a Foot Health Practitioner. I would like to invite the people who have been let down to return to us and give me the opportunity to make it up to you. I have a passion for treating feet. I have a very good repertoire with the patients that I have taken over from the previous clinicians. If you’re doubtful, come in for a free foot assessment and see what you think. But I guarantee you that you will always return to me. I am not a podiatrist, I’m a foot hygienist, so I cannot assist with biomechanics or custom made orthotics. But I am really passionate about helping people who have problematic feet, I can help you to get your feet more aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely love my job. I will restore your faith in our company. I’m truly sorry to anyone who has had a bad experience at Shuropody. I’m there to stay and I will do everything in my power not to disappoint my patients.

Wow after reading these reviews I certainly didn't expect a great experience and was unsure whether to actually go. However, Lisa, the podiatrist was fabulous, she certainly knows her stuff and I can walk without pain again. Thank you Lisa. I would recommend her and that doesn't come lightly

Leaving 1 star as I can't leave 0 star coz this place doesn't deserve any stars. I never met a chiropodist like that extremely horrible rude lady. She pushed me to buy their packages and said to me that your legs will be cut off if you don't treat your feet regularly. In my last 20 years of my life I visited so many chiropodists nobody said this kind of horrible things to me. I'm very much upset and offended. I genuinely think that she said to me these horrible things just for her commission. I will never recommend any person in this place. It's a disgrace !!!

Front of house staff are a bit slimy. They don't have enough to do so it leads to unprofessional conversations on shop floor and feels really uncomfortable having 4 staff learing. It's also quite dirty there and stock is overpriced. Paid £20 for an insole and it's less than £5 online. On the other hand the actual podiatrist was lovely, kind and helpful. Just a pity you need to wade through slime to get to the appointment.
