A wonderful calming and spiritual peace. The architect is breathtaking and the grounds are busy with wild life and greenery. Short summary Atmosphere - calming and spiritual Staff and management - friendly and extremely helpful Kid friendly - yes, lots of places for the go relax in the grounds outside and nice cafe shop for the to grab a slice of cake Menu and range selection - wonderful selection of snacks, food, drinks and pastries available in the coffee shop Recommend to friends and family - yes, if you are in the area it’s a nice way to spend half a day Cleanliness - yes Note - the honey fudge is amazing and a must buy as gift for friends and family is the Alban Gin and maybe get one for yourself too.

I go up the cathedral as much as possible. It's such a nice place just to sit and watch the world go by. There's so much inside it and wonderful architecture outside as well. It's an amazing building!

Stunningly beautiful cathedral / abbey. Tomb of St Alban here and beautiful stone rood screen behind the altar. The vaulted ceiling is ornately decorated (see picture). Costs £5,000 per day to keep the abbey open...so give generously when you visit
