St Margaret Clitherow was pressed to death for refusing to enter a plea for harbouring a priest during the English reformation. The shrine a beautiful quiet place admist the turmoil of the shambles. The relic of her hand is held at The Bar Convent York.

I walked the shambled and I have a bad back somone mentioned it to me last night I didn't look for it it was just there empty and peaceful the shambles is cluttered I needed a moment out of the way and this provided it the noise faded away and so so so so very calm in here the door was open it shouldn't have been so quiet the review isn't for a tourist but just for the fact I was grateful for it being there grateful I spotted it and grateful for the peace as for the lady I'm not sure what I believe maybe it's all the same god but I hope she's at peace too
