Shrewsbury United Reformed Church was built in 1863 by G Bidlake of Wolverhampton. It is a former congregational church and the only non-conformist church in Shrewsbury to have a spire. Located in Abbey Foregate, between the English Bridge across the Severn and Shrewsbury Abbey, the United Reformed Church is in the geometrical Gothic style, banded with red sandstone. Inside the church, the organ, pews and stained glass are original. A gallery is present at the West end and wrap along the north and south walls.
