Terrible service. Wanted a repeat prescription but pharmacy didn't have what I need, so a request was sent from pharmacy to doctors for an alternative. Doctors gave no response. Tried again 2 weeks later, still no response. Another 2 weeks went by trying to make an appointment as I cannot call at 8am due to the nature of my job. At appointment, was told an alternative had been put on computer but not sent to pharmacy. When asked why, shrug of shoulders. Also doctors try to give menopausal women anti depressants instead of HRT. I was told I was depressed, when I had EVERY menopausal symptom at the age of 54. I had to fight to get HRT instead of anti depressants. GPs are NOT supposed to do that. Also... blood tests 5 months ago revealed I had a serious kidney disease but not contacted by GP to tell me. What if I had no reason to visit doctor again fir a long time? Wouldn't have known or been contacted. Disgusting practise.

Very rubbish health centre, no patient care at all. Will take up to 2 weeks before you can book an appointment. And the recepti, onist are so horrible that they don't make any appointments work they kept making appointment more difficult. I guess they now have more patient than what they can handle and no attempt to make more provision for patiet's appointments. I registered with this surgery since 2008, then it was good but now worse. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Been using this surgery for a few years now after issues with my old doctor. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and the drs have always been thorough. I’m just transferring my other 2 kids here who are still with previous dr (they rarely go so I never got round to it but last week he said there was nothing wrong with my daughter only for her to be diagnosed with strep the following day) Never had any issues like that at showell park so would deffo recommend

Would leave 0 stars if I could, open 15 minutes on the phone from 8 oclock, number 19 in the queue to be answered with there's no appointments left, within 15 minutes of opening and I asked how many appointments there are to begin with was told only 20 is there any point of being open if there's only 20 appointments a day, I need to see my doctor not urgent care, reception staff have no heart. The doctors are brilliant but I have also been misdiagnosed 3 times by nurse practioners which led to me being severly ill hospitalised and operated on

I can't fault the treatment of the doctors there, all of them are brilliant in particular Dr Obi who I can highly recommend! He is thorough, patient, listens to what you have to say and always does his best to resolve any symptoms/illnesses/fears that you have. Yes it may take a while to get through and book an appointment, but I feel it is worth the waiting time.

Been with this surgery for years now and it gets no better. Unable to book appointments in advance but when you ring up on the day you have to sit in a queue for an hour and half to be told there are no appointments left and go ring 111. Also sone of the reception staff come across quite abrupt at times. When you do eventually get an appointment the doctors and nurses are lovely but the only way im told you can get an appointment is to stand outside the surgery at 8am to be the telephone queue, however when you do this, the recptionists make you wait in the queue whilst they answer the phone. If I could give this surgery zero stars I would.
