Have tried to use Show Works a number of times. Sadly they’ve failed me every time. We’ve placed online orders for hire kit a few times, scaling from a small PA system to a microphone. With each online order, Show Works provide an automated confirmation email letting you know they'll be in touch soon. Every time, we had to chase up shortly before scheduled collection, only to find they were “out of kit”. Likely code for “this job isn’t important enough for us” (once, they simply hung up when we asked if they could provide an alternative set of hire gear). Another time, I tried to purchase some gear from Show Works, having reserved the kit and agreeing a plan for collection. Soon after, they stopped replying entirely, only to reveal that they'd sold it to someone else instead when I arrived to pick it up. A professional company should take the time to let you know if they’re going to let you down, rather than leaving you in the dark shortly before a job. It would be fantastic to have a local sound hire company that I could depend on for dry hire, but whether it's a lack of planning or simple arrogance, Show Works sadly haven't been able to meet my needs to date. Their kit and website look great, but their customer service is, regrettably, absent.

Show Works Ltd installed a brand new sound and video system in our school hall recently. The equipment has been brilliant and our sound system is now vastly improved. Our new live streaming capacity has been a real success and has enabled us to broadcast live shows, assemblies and a host of live events. The workmanship in the install was incredible (neat, tidy and extremely well-planned in terms of the decisions about where to mount speakers and cameras etc.) and the customer service, both the initial consultation process and also the follow-up support, has been outstanding. I highly recommend this company and we will certainly use Show Works Ltd again in the future when we next need to upgrade.
