Won't be visiting the port or the businesses located there ever again sadly. I visited Port Kitchen, which btw is lovely. Unfortunately I forgot to pay for parking and was slapped with a £100 parking fine by the aggressive and completely inflexible parking company the port uses. I wrote an email to Port Kitchen kindly asking for help in the matter. It was entirely my own fault and I understand why parking restrictions exist but having been there as a genuine customer I felt extremely aggrieved by the completely OTT level of the fine. Port Kitchen forwarded my email to Shoreham Port who sent me quite an abrupt reply telling me to contact the parking company and that basically it was out of their hands. And the result is I'll never visit any of the businesses at the port ever again. You refuse to help your customers then I have no choice. Real shame that.

Shoreham port is a disgrace allowing a ship (the IMI )to make so much noise 24hrs a day. Even if it's not their wharf there must be something they can do ? And for anybody thinking of buying or renting the new apartments in the future on the canal (the old Town Hall etc) don't because you'll hardly get any sleep!

Unfortunately Shoreham Port hires completely dishonest company to manage their parking affairs. I was shocked reading the reviews for GXS and you still have them working for you? I received a parking charge a year ago that claimed I overstayed on your land 16 minutes which is not true. I've shown the proof that I have been somewhere else at the time in question and you plainly rejected it and refused to intervene. Your parking company now sends debt collectors to harass me without court order and your CEO Tom Willis ignored my email. Is this how you raising your funds? By accusing honest people of lying and causing them distress? Shame on you @Shoreham Port! Reported to Action Fraud and Trading Standards!

Super interesting place to walk to and around. A great walk along the beach, fun to watch the boats moving around and the lock in motion. A nice alternative and very quiet walk to watch the sunset.

Beware of the parking cameras. Don't stop anywhere along basin road, use the council car park near the cafe. Shame on the port authority for using automated parking cameras, the cameras take pictures every 5 minutes. Beware!
